An Affordable Housing Option
Capital for Change (C4C) partnered with the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA) as an approved lender to offer flexible purchase and refinance options for mobile and manufactured homes located in state-licensed mobile home parks across Connecticut. Recently, CHFA revamped the loan program to provide affordable payments with no down payment required.
As a committed partner, we support ongoing efforts to expand access to affordable mobile home options for Connecticut residents, especially when traditional mortgages are out of reach.
In March 2025, total shipments of new manufactured homes in the U.S. reached 109,000 units, marking a 7.3% increase compared to the same period last year (U.S. Census Bureau. (n.d.). With the increasing trend of mobile and manufactured home purchases, C4C stands at the forefront, providing financing solutions and dedicated support to help more families achieve affordable homeownership. Our commitment ensures that quality housing remains accessible, especially for those who face challenges securing traditional mortgages.
"We chose a mobile home because of the convenience and ease of one-floor living, especially at age 75.
The result of our move is that we now have a place that meets our physical and social needs as we age. We have a nice long porch that is lovely to sit on, especially in the morning and even when it’s raining!
Working with C4C and Leonard was quite the experience! What an excellent program that makes housing affordable to all! Lots of paperwork, but well worth the effort!

Thank you, Leonard and C4C, for everything!" - Frank and Ellen Green

"Working with Frank and Ellen was a real pleasure. They were always quick to respond whenever I needed documents and even came by the office to drop off paperwork and chat about their loan. After everything was finalized, I gave them a call to congratulate them both. We faced a few bumps along the way, but I’m really happy we helped them reach their goal!" - Leonard Gonzalez, Senior Underwriter
